International Co-operation.


1. On postgraduate level, the School is an active member of postgraduate education associations in public health, namely, the Association for Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) (held the presidency during the period 1991-1993); the European Association for Public Health Services Studies (EAPHSS), the European Health Management Association (EHMA), the Federation for International Cooperation of Health Services and Systems Research Centres (FICOSSER) (held the presidency in 2002-2006),the European Association of Schools of Occupational Medicine (EASOM).

2. The School through its National Reference Laboratories is in close collaboration with the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) as a major contact point in various infectious pathogens including malaria, Salmonella, Shigella, meningococcus, and antibiotic resistance.

3. Since 2012, the School is an official ECDC training site for a two year fellowship programme on Public Health Microbiology (EUPHEM) aiming to provide training and practical experience in public health microbiology at national and regional centers for surveillance and control of communicable diseases in the EU/EEA, as well as in international organisations.

4. ERASMUS- Life Long Learning programme: The School actively participates in the exchange of Master Degree students
5. There is close collaboration with the World Health Organization, (WHO), the Council of Europe, and the European Union

6. Finally, the NSPH has established collaborations with a number of Schools of Public Health and University Institutions both in Europe and in the USA.
